IPG's HUGE Atlanta Goes Through Layoffs

HUGE Atlanta went through a new round of layoffs earlier this month.  The total number of employees let go was estimated to be 20  There has been no indication if the layoffs were a loss of a client or not.

There have been some big changes happening at HUGE.  The agency hired former Razorfish veteran Pete Stein as CEO in May.  In February, creative director Hugh Connelly left Atlanta for Singapore and the agency named new creative leads after landing Realtor.com.

Also, Atlanta Managing Director Carrie Philpot announced that she would be leaving the agency earlier this month.  Her departure was not related to the layoffs.

Only time will tell if this is a strategic move by the firm or just a way to control costs at another network agency.
