Last night was the cocktail party of all cocktail parties for the Atlanta media. Agencies, buying services, stations, reps, and personalities all gathered at Ansley Golf Club in Midtown Atlanta for one of the few old time social gatherings that still exist in the industry. After all the haggling over points, GRP's, impressions, and delivery throughout the year, ABAC (Atlanta Broadcast and Advertising Club) brings together everyone who buys sells or produces media in Atlanta. In the world of keynote speakers and reel nights, it's great to see a group just get together to have a good time. The event started out with golf and pool day then turned into the Lucky 13 Meltdown party. With 450 in attendance, it took up the entire Ansley Golf Club. Congratulations are due to Lifetime Award Winners Lisa Pilger, Scott Jolles,
Hunter Meadows and Tim McVay. Meltdown even made the news last night when WSB TV cameras showed up to see their leader Tim McVay accept the award.
