NAPA to Replace the Advertising Part

Old news is still news at the Atlanta Adblog. The Genuine Parts Co. has hired The Bedford Group to find a new advertising agency for its NAPA automotive parts business. According to The Atlanta Business Chronicle, Gaylord Spencer, VP of marketing strategy for NAPA confirmed the account is under review. Estimated worth of the business is $30,000,000 annually. Genuine Parts (NYSE:GPC) spent $42.8 million on advertising in 2008.

The Bedford Group is a strategic marketing management consulting firm with practices focused on agency partner selection, agency audits and optimization, agency contract negotiation, marketing organization design, and communications strategy. These guys have always been good guys and don't require a lot to be listed but if you look at their press releases pitch listed has been placed outside of the Atlanta Advertising Agency market.

This is counter the The Atlanta Adblog's main agenda.
