Grey Atlanta Advertisng Agency Makes Water a Cause

Grey Atlanta was recognized for their participation with the Atlanta Regional Commission's annual "State of the Region" Breakfast. They contributed $100,000 towards a public awareness campaign encouraging residents to conserve water with a website and video for the cause. Bravo to them for giving back to the community. It sounds like this is an in-kind donation which always appears easy but is never really that great for your business. They take a lot of time (someone calculated $100,000 worth????) and you do not get to write it off your taxes. Other than the value of community involvement, the benefits you reap come with PR. And here's the interesting part. Read the article from the ABC and Grey get's a huge headline, but the body copy talks about the ARC program and not the what, where, when, why of the headline. Has editorial become this bad. Really.
