Falgren Cranks Up the PR Machine

You gotta love the agency business. As soon as trouble is on the horizon, that's when you jump into action. If agencies only took the words of advice we give clients to heart, we would be well ahead of the pending disaster. If you read yesterday's post, you would see that Falgren is losing approximately $30,000,000 of billing from the NAPA account. I just found it typical that this article came out in Columbus Business First the following week.
The article states that they have changed the ranks and are looking for growth through new business. The rule of thumb here is shake the bag. 1) Change in management 2) Talk about healthy accounts 3) Bring up the wins you have in the past 3 years, and 4) never ever ever talk about the impending losses. Textbook execution of the holy crap moments of an advertising agency.
The PR execution was appropriate and I really hope the loss of NAPA does not hurt the Atlanta Advertising Market. We need to keep everyone working in the Atlanta Advertising Community.
