Industry Site might Just Help Atlanta Advertising Job Applicants

I've heard it more than once. The advertising industry "eats it's young". It's not uncommon for us to throw a newbie into the fire and expect them to come out harder tougher and able to accomplish anything. The training programs of the past were cut in the last recession and the prospect of them coming back is slim and none. We expect people to perform but offer little in formal training for the job. When someone loses their job people are usually more worried about what lamp they had in their office than the person's next opportunity.

That's why I would like to point out the wonderful and altruistic transition of Please Feed the Animals blog into an industry resume website. Eric Proloux, a laid-off copywriter from Arnold in Boston, created a blog to vent and is now turning it into something better. (after all isn't The Atlanta Ad Blog here to do the venting) And best of all this is a site that will be free to agencies. Believe it or not, Talent Zoo and other charge us to look at your resume. Any agency worth its salt should be looking at talent constantly, The new Please Feed The Animals will allow us to do it easier and cheaper than ever before.

Proloux will not be getting any revenue from the site and what is earned will go to his kind developer who is helping put it together. It's just great to see someone doing something for the industry after all it is the greatest job in the world.
